Want to learn how to create your own manual microdermabrasion treatment? Signature services set your business up for interest and success when they are designed specifically for the client.
Microdermabrasion is a popular skin care treatment that makes the skin appear refreshed or polished while removing fine lines and softening wrinkles so creating a signature service around an already popular treatment is a win/win for your clients and your business.
Are you already using Essential oils in your signature services? If not now is the time as this specific treatment calls for Helichrysum Essential Oil.
Helichrysum essential oil comes from a flowering plant that’s traditionally wild crafted in the mountains along the Dalmatian coast of Croatia. Once ready, the flower is carefully harvested and steam distilled to create the valuable oil. Helichrysum oil uses include diffusing its sweet, stimulating scent during homework and study time, as well as applying the oil topically to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It can be added to your daily skin care regimen to enhance the appearance of skin and is a great additive for its cleansing benefits into your night time facial cleanser. I only ever use or recommend the highest quality for the best results so you can get your Helichrysum Oil here for best results.
You are going to love this recipe, It is simple but yields fresh and wonderful results. Remember though, with microdermabrasion you do not want to do the treatment if the skin is irritated, sun or wind burned. Also, only make as much as you are going to need in a single treatment as the mixture will oxidize and go flat after an extended period of time. I personally love to do this treatment on my own legs and feet. You could customize a pedicure to include a custom microdermabrasion treatment too.
1 Tablespoon of Baking Soda
1 1/2 teaspoons of purified water
2 drops Helichrysum essential oil
In a small GLASS bowl mix ingredients until a white silky paste forms. Dip the fingertip pads in and begin applying to the face in firm but not heavy circles on the skin, neck and decollete’. The baking soda granules will do the exfoliation work on the surface while the essential oils will penetrate the under surface to freshen the skin and soften fine lines and wrinkles. The skin should be thinly coated and manipulations performed for about 10 minutes.
Once completed the surface of the skin should be sponged off with purified water and a moisturizer applied. Your client should avoid the sun or tanning for 24 hours after the treatment.
My favorite time of day to do this service is evening so my clients can go home, relax and not put anything on their face for 8 about hours.
Some clients will put on makeup immediately following the service and that is Okay but make certain they know to use a sunscreen to avoid burning or irritating the skin after treatment.
